What’s on Yaow Islands
Ko Yaow Noi and Ko Yaow Yai have the area altogether of 138 square kilometers with tranquil atmosphere and primitive nature and way of life. It makes these islands be the Seagoing-journey attractions for those who don’t like crowded.
Ko Yaow Noi
On Ko Yaow Noi, there are lodgings, markets, and food shops. Manok (Manoh) Port is the main port. From Phuket to Ko Yao, take a ferryboat at Bang Rong Port and Ao Paw Port, which is on service once a day for the expense of 50 baht, or hire a boat at about 800-1,400 baht. From Phang-Nga, take a ferryboat at Tha Daan Port at the price of 90 baht, or hire a boat at about 1,400-2,000 baht.

Ko Yaow Yai
It is larger than Ko Yaow Noi, but less population. To get there from Phuket, there is a regular ferryboat at Tian Sin Port or you can hire a boat from Ao Paw Port or Bang Rong Port at the rate of 1,000-1,500 baht to Ao Loh Jaak.
There are many beaches at the west of Ko Yaow Yai; whereas, high steep mountain is at the east. The beautiful beaches are such as Loh Pa Rad and Laem Haad. Some are rocky shores like Laem Nok Awk. The shore at the south of the island like Laem Hau Chang found a beautiful shallow-water coral reef. But sometimes, there are strong current and wind; it should be careful.
Near Ko Yaow Yai, there are several well-known small islands like Ko Kai Nai and Ko Mod Ta Noi with small coral reefs. Ko Kai Nork has a beautiful beach.
On Ko Yaow Yai, there are some bungalows, but they are opened only on tourism season. For those who love camping, contact the villagers for more information.
